So very pleasing. Violetta potatoes have won it for us. They hold the colour when boiled, make the most fantastic looking chip/wedge and taste great to boot! What’s not to love?

It’s the spring equinox and the first of the peas are ready to go into the ground. We’re trying out a more dwarf variety this year in the tunnel, they should have fruited and be finished before the tomatoes are ready to go out.

Today we managed to dig in the second 50ft trench for the raspberries. Quite a mission but we made it! Here’s to a fruitful summer!
